2009 Finalists

Reaching for Gold would like to thank all of the corporate supporters of the 2009 programme, with special mention to Honda UK, who arranged a visit from a very special guest: ASIMO, their humanoid robot... Also a massive thank you to our four judges: Nicola Horlick, Danny Crates, Ian Trenholm and Keren Jones

Reaching for Gold came to a head at Windsor Castle on the 15th December 2009. A panelists of 'dragon's' assessed 9 presentations. The standard overall was very high and the judge's decision-making was hard...

The Gold medalists, winner of the trophy and a £5000 unrestricted cash award, were Young Pioneers. Young Pioneers were supported by BT and Groundwork during their mentoring phase. The Silver medalists were Brockenhurst College with their 'Brockbikes' scheme and the Bronze medalists were Miltoncross School.
