Q: I work for a Youth Offending Team and am interested in helping some young people apply for this award and money, are we eligible?

A:  Yes, provided that the young people are aged between 14-21, are on community sentences (ie not serving custodial sentences), would be available for structured development sessions between January & March and can attend the final on the 15th March.

Q: I noticed in the information that it says the young people need to be supported by either a voluntary or community group but I just wondered whether there is any flexibility around this as I work for a Borough Council but have young people attending our Youth Forum who would definitely be interested in this?

A: Provided that you are constituted as an organisation and you work with young people between 14 and 21, you can apply.

Q: Can you tell me the deadline for applications?

A: Applications must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 30th November 2011

Q: Would it be suitable for a school to apply with a small group?

A: As long as there are at least 2 people (and no more than 10) in the group you can apply, although the idea should come from people in the group aged between 14 and 21

Q: We have a Visually Impaired Unit, would they be suitable for the competition?

A: Provided the group fulfils the other requirements (location, age and group size) everyone is welcome to apply.
